In Fall 2019, students in Professor Leif Fredrickson’s Exploring Public History course curated an exhibit on Missoula’s rock ‘n’ roll history. A Music Mosaic: How Missoula Built its Rockin’ Community was the product of several months of archival research, oral histories, and exhibit planning. The exhibit opened in December of 2019 at Missoula’s Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC). The opening included a music memorabilia showcase and a concert featuring local Missoula bands.
